This Month, Get Double VIP Points on LEGO Dots Creative Party and LEGO Technic McLaren Senna GTR
Every month, LEGO has at least two sets that grant you double VIP points upon purchase. This month, those sets are LEGO Dots 41926 Creative Party Kit and LEGO Technic 42123 McLaren Senna GTR. Two excellent, but very different sets.
With an RRP of £44.99, the LEGO Technic McLaren Senna GTR is perhaps one of our favourite Technic vehicles. It balances size, detail and price perfectly, and the finished model is a surprisingly large and detailed model McLaren. With 830 pieces it’s a challenging build, and the finished result, thanks to a livery of stickers, is rather pleasant to look at.
The LEGO Dots Creative Party kit, on the other hand, is a set all about having fun. It’s a set made up of a handful of ‘cupcake’ bases, with lids that can be decorated. They open up, allowing small gifts and party favours to be placed inside, or simply used as a birthday or celebration display.
Not a LEGO VIP member? It’s worth joining up if you ever shop at a LEGO store or online at LEGO.com. You’ll collect points on purchases you make either on LEGO’s website or in LEGO retail stores. Typically, that points value is about 5% of your purchase; for every £100 you spend, you get approximately £5 back. The points add up, and along with translating them directly into vouchers to be spent on more LEGO, you can also use them to purchase exclusive items and enter into sweepstakes.
But with double VIP points, it means instead of getting around 5% back, you’ll get 10%. That means the McLaren Senna GTR will get you around £4.50 worth of points back, and the Creative Party Kit around £2.20. It’s worth noting that the minimum voucher you can redeem your points for is £5.
