A £350 LEGO Technic Ferrari Speeds Into Stores on 1st June
It’s not cheap, but it is impressive.
Do you have room in your life for a 3,778-piece LEGO Technic Ferrari? You do? What luck! LEGO has just announced that very thing, coming to stores on 1st June.
LEGO Technic 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the latest in LEGO’s range of huge LEGO Technic vehicles, following in the footsteps of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, Bugatti Chiron and Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
And with 3,778 pieces, it’s the largest yet of any of them. Like the others, it’s officially licensed and when built, it makes a genuine replica of the real vehicle. It’s a 1:8 scale model of a real-life Ferrari Daytona SP3, measuring 59cm in length and 25cm in width. No small set, then.
As you’d expect from a model of this size (and price tag – it retails for £350/$400), it packs in a lot of details and features. There’s an 8-speed gearbox with paddle shifter, and a replica V12 engine with moving pistons. It also has working steering, and opening butterfly doors.

For real Ferrari fans, we’ve also spotted an interesting book on the LEGO website. Ferrari Daytona SP3: The Sense of Perfection is a high-quality coffee table book detailing everything you could possibly want to know about the real car, the Technic model, and how it was brought to life. It’s hardback, 240 pages, and presented in a slip case. But it’s not cheap: it retails for £69.99/$79.99.
