Get a free exclusive logo model if you buy the Lego McLaren P1

Fancy grabbing yourself an exclusive Lego model of the McLaren P1 logo? You can, for free, if you pick up the Lego Technic McLaren P1. It’s an offer that’s been around before, but Lego’s brought it back for a limited time: you’ve got until 17th September to claim it.
The McLaren P1 Logo has a suggested RRP of £19.99, but it’s only available as a free gift. It’s a combination of Technic and ‘System’ bricks, and consists of a P1 logo mounted on a base. Turn the handle, and the logo will rotate. It’s pretty nifty.
However, it’s only available if you purchase the Lego Technic McLaren P1 — and that will set you back an eye-watering £389.99. This is, however, a flagship Technic ‘Ultimate’ model, which lets you build a 1:8 scale model of an actual McLaren P1. It comes with working steering, an adjustable rear wing spoiler, shock-absorbing suspension, a V8 engine with pumping pistons, removable bonnet and opening dihedral doors.
In other words, this is the bees knees if you’re a Technic fan. And so, if you’ve been on the fence about picking it up, now might be a good time to grab the exclusive freebie. A quick search on eBay shows they’ve been selling for around £60-£80, making it a worthwhile little extra.
There’s a small caveat, however: you do need to be a Lego Insiders member to claim the free P1 Logo. But joining Lego Insiders is free — and if you don’t already have a membership, what are you doing? You get points back on all purchases from the Lego store, which can be redeemed for in-store credit, free gifts or cool experiences.
