Happy New Year: New Lego and a (revived) That Brick Site
Here’s to a successful and Lego-filled 2026!
Happy New Year, everyone! 2026 is upon us, and that means a whole new year of Lego releases, exciting announcements and sets for us to build. It’s also a year of renewal for That Brick Site. Although the site has been around since 2020, it’s often been on the backburner, and as you’ve probably noticed, we haven’t updated since August last year. That’s about to change, and through 2026 we’ll be making a concerted effort to grow the site.
Who’s the ‘we’? That would be me (Kim), owner and creator of That Brick Site, along with my co-owner (and partner) Richard. Our full-time job is in the running of GameSpew, a video games-focused site. That Brick Site has always been a side project, which is why we haven’t always had time to dedicate here. We are supported by Chris, who also happens to work on GameSpew too.
What’s going to change? Well, not a great deal, initially. We will get back into the swing of providing interesting news and announcements from Lego, along with reviews, listicles and interesting things from around the Lego community. If there’s something you’d love to see us cover, drop us a comment and we’ll see what we can do.
We are always open to new ideas, and we’d love to see That Brick Site grow and thrive over 2026. While we are a small team, we are passionate about Lego. We’ll be striving to keep up to date with new sets, providing regular reviews, and sharing our opinions on everything we find interesting or gossip-worthy in the world of Lego.
And with Lego already rolling out a huge swathe of new sets and some pretty juicy announcements, it seems that 2026 is going to be an interesting year for the Danish toy brand. Just this week, we’ve seen news of its upcoming interactive brick, which I’ll be delving into soon. And with new Creator, Star Wars, City, Modular, Ninjago and a whole lot more, we’ve certainly got plenty of new sets to be going at.
So: here’s to a successful 2026 for everyone. May your Lego builds be sturdy, your displays dust-free, and your year filled with happiness. From us here at That Brick Site, thank you to everyone who has been following us for some time, and we hope that 2026 is our best year yet.
