It looks like this May’s Star Wars UCS release is Jango Fett’s Starship
We’re looking forward to adding another Slave O… er, Starship, to our collection.

You know how it is: every May there’s a new entry in the Star Wars Ultimate Collectors Series. This May the 4th event, as it’s called, also usually involves a number of Lego Star Wars sets being reduced for a short while, and there being at least one gift with purchase. Despite it being nearly a month away, it appears that this year’s May the 4th Star Wars UCS set has been discovered: it’s Jango Fett’s Starship, also known as Slave One.
The set was initially leaked via TikTok user dawidgorski a week ago. Since then, it’s been spotted in a store in Hong Kong, with Reddit user ParisVeteren providing pictures of the box which you can see below. Of course, a UCS version of Boba Fett’s Slave One has been available in the past, and this Jango Fett version doesn’t look all that different outside of its different colour scheme.
The box indicates that it contains 2,970 pieces, however, which is nearly 1,000 more than the UCS Slave One.

Needless to say, it’ll be interesting to see how these additional bricks will be used to enhance this version of the Slave One over the last UCS model. Will this one have a more detailed interior, or will those additional bricks be used to provide more detail on the outside? In any case, it appears that the set will be rated 18+, and will come with the usual UCS informational plaque as well as minifigs of both Jango Fett and Boba Fett.
As for the price, we’ll have to wait for the set’s official announcement to be sure, but it will probably be around £300/$300 given the piece count. Will you be tempted to pick it up? We might be swayed if there’s also a decent gift with purchase to go alongside it.
