Celebrate Spring with this frighteningly good Cute Bunny facehugger alternate build

Easter is nearly upon us, and how better to celebrate by turning Lego’s Cute Bunny 31162 set into a facehugger from the 1979 movie Alien? Okay, there are several better ways to celebrate Easter, but this is such a fantastic alternate Lego Cute Bunny facehugger build, we’d be failing in our duties if we didn’t bring it to your attention.

It’s the work of Lego builder dicken_tutu, who posted the build on their Instagram. The Lego Cute Bunny 31162 set is already a 3-in-1 set, meaning you can also rebuild it as a llama or a seal. But transforming into a facehugger, one of cinema’s most horrifying creatures? That’s creativity.

If you’ve not watched Alien, and if not why not, you’ll see the connection between Alien and your typical Easter celebrations. Both feature eggs that conceal a hidden surprise and, depending on how much you eat, both can lead to intestinal discomfort. And, after all, aren’t Easter and spring both about new life?

The best thing about this alternate build is that it doesn’t require any extras, a single Lego Cute Bunny set is enough. Though, as noted in the comments, you’ll have to swap one tail piece out for a white piece. Or, given that the set itself is only £17.99, you could buy two and put one in your Lego box.

This is, honestly, the closest we’re going to get to an actual Alien Lego set. Lego may have put out a Jaws set but, for the most part, they stick with more family friendly sets.
