Why step on a brick when you can wear Lego shoes?
Thumb your nose at fashion with these blocky but brilliant Lego shoes, courtesy of Crocs.
You know how painful it can be when you step on a Lego brick? Now you can walk around with Lego on your feet, thanks to these Lego shoes, from Lego and Crocs.
Don’t worry, the experience promises to be far less agonizing than the usual Lego minefield. These official Lego Crocs take the shape of Lego bricks that you strap to your feet, boasting “a faux anti-stud sole.” They also come with a Lego minifigure, who’ll look every bit as ridiculous as you.
And we do mean ridiculous, because there’s no way of getting around it – these Lego Crocs are the most absurd-looking shoes we’ve ever, ever seen. And yes, that does include those transparent high heels with goldfish in them.
But it’s their sheer absurdity that makes them appealing. While Crocs have a unique look, the company has at least attempted to make them stylish. Here, they’ve just thrown all that to the wind, and gone with a big rectangular pair of clogs.
Crocs also underlines the novelty value of these Lego Brick Clogs, as they’re called, by stating that they’re “Not intended for all-day wear”. That hasn’t put us off wanting them, though their £199.99 price-tag has given us pause for thought.
Yes, you read that right. Oddly, these Lego Brick Clog shoes are priced at $149.99 in the US Crocs website which is high enough. But on Lego, they are priced at $199.99. Hmm. Obviously, if you’re stateside and somehow wanting these things on your feet, opt to purchase from Crocs, although we do have to wonder if the price might get adjusted soon.
If you’re in the UK, you’re out of luck: regardless of where you purchase from, they’re £199.99. Ouch. These Lego Brick Clogs will ship from 16th February, available from the Lego Store or Crocs directly.
