Lego’s Star Wars K-2SO Security Droid steps out this August

His appearances in prequel series Star Wars: Andor are relatively minor, but reprogrammed security droid K-2SO was the highlight of Star Wars: Rogue One and now this Lego Star Wars K-2SO Security Droid 75434 set is giving him the recognition he deserves.

It’s not the first time Lego has released a set based around K-2SO, Cassian Andor’s robotic pal, but this is the first one to truly nail the look. Even better, it’s less than a month away from release and is reasonably priced.

Costing £79.99 / $89.99, this Lego Star Wars K-2SO Security Droid 75434 set is an impressively lofty 16 inches / 41cm tall. It’s designed for builders aged 10 or over, so should be well within the reach of younger builders. Aside from the main K-2SO model it also comes with a tiny minifigure sized K-2SO figure, suitable for use with regular-sized Star Wars sets.

But the coolest feature is how poseable this Lego K-2SO set is. Made up of 845 pieces, you can bend his head and arms into all sorts of positions. We’ve got our fingers crossed for air-guitar but we suspect that may be too much of a stretch.

If you’ve not seen either Andor or Rogue One, K-2S0 is Cassian Andor’s sidekick and muscle. He’s been reprogrammed but, wisely, he’s not been resprayed or had Rebellion logos slapped all over him. Hence, we see him just walking into an Imperial facility in Andor Season 2.
