Lego’s The Simpsons range is finally coming back, with Krusty Burger launching in June

It feels like a lifetime ago that Lego released The Simpsons House and The Kwik-e-Mart. It was more than a decade, in fact. But now Lego has decided it’s the right time to bring the series back: a new Krusty Burger set has just been unveiled on the Lego website.
Launching on 4th June, The Simpsons: Krusty Burger is a standalone set featuring a range of your favourite Simpsons characters and a fully-featured model of a Krusty Burger restaurant, complete with an interior. The set opens up, revealing a seating area, a kitchen and a service desk, along with a restroom. On the exterior of the model is a drive-thru, and the set comes complete with a clown car.
Inside are more neat details, such as an ice cream machine, a deep-fat fryer, a Buzz Cola dispenser, a condiment station, and even a ball pit. Practically everything you need to run a successful clown-themed burger restaurant, if you ask us.
In terms of minifigures, Lego Krusty Burger comes with Homer, Bart, Lisa, Farmer Krusty, Sideshow Bob, Officer Lou and ‘Squeaky Voiced Teen’.
This is certainly going to be a must-have for Simpsons fans, but it comes at a cost. It’ll be £179.99 when it launches on 4th June, which is on the expensive side for a 1,635-piece set. Still, there’s a lot of detail for that price, and its seven minifigures look wonderful.

If you do like the look of Lego Krusty Burger, it might be wise to pick it up at launch. Available from 1st June for Lego Insiders members and 4th June for everyone else, the earliest buyers will also get a free diorama of The Simpsons Living Room. It’s a small cutaway of the famous living room, complete with purple TV set, brown sofa and pink wall. There’s even a picture of a sailboat on the wall.
