Three Lego Wednesday sets have been officially unveiled, out on 1st September
She’s creepy and she’s kooky.
Update 13th September: Lego has officially revealed the Lego Wednesday sets, so we’ve updated our article below to reflect the official information from Lego. We’ve also added information about a set of Lego Wednesday BrickHeadz that were missing from the Greek retailer’s leak.
We’ve had official confirmation of three Lego Wednesday sets on Lego today, all due out on 1st October. We had a premature glimpse at two of them earlier this week thanks to a leak from an official Lego retailer in Greece. But now, they’re available for pre-order on Lego’s website — along with a new BrickHeadz set, too.
Three Lego Wednesday sets have been revealed so far: Lego Wednesday 76780 – Wednesday Addams Figure, Lego Wednesday 76781 – Wednesday & Enid’s Dorm Room, and Lego BrickHeadz 40750 Wednesday & Enid. Having their own theme and brand new packaging, however, is a telltale sign that we’ll be getting more sets based on Netflix’s Wednesday (which itself is based on the Addams Family). Exactly how many, and what the other sets will be, remains to be seen — but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
Take a look at the sets in more detail below, and let us know what you think by leaving a comment.
Lego Wednesday 76781 – Wednesday & Enid’s Dorm Room
- Price: £79.99
- Number of pieces: 750
- Number of minifigures: 4 minidolls
- Age rating: 10+
Wednesday & Enid’s Dorm Room feels a little expensive for a 750-piece set, but judging by the images, there’s a lot to like. That feature window in the centre of the set, for example, is one seriously cool, unique piece. We also love the gothic architecture on the balcony, like the gargoyles and the twisty column.
Looking at the interior, the colour scheme is split down the middle, with Enid’s pink-and-girly things on one side and Wednesday’s super-goth-chic on the other. There are even drawers in the set to keep the minidolls and their accessories. If only they were minifigures instead of dolls, but we can’t have everything.
Lego Wednesday 76780 – Wednesday Addams Figure
- Price: £44.99
- Number of pieces: 702
- Number of minifigures: none
- Age rating: 10+
Now this one feels more reasonably priced: almost the same piece count and practically half the price. There are no minidolls here: instead, you build a 26.2cm-tall model of Wednesday, one that can be dressed in two different ways. She’s in her school uniform in one, and dressed in formalwear in the other. We love both.
She’s stood on a podium adorned with suitably gothic decorations, like candles, a gravestone and black flowers — and behind her is a sign for Nevermore Academy.
Lego BrickHeadz 40750 Wednesday & Enid
- Price: £17.99
- Number of pieces: 239
- Number of minifigures: none
- Age rating: 10+
Wednesday & Enid will be BrickHeadz numbers 252 and 253, and we absolutely love them. As you’d expect, Wednesday’s BrickHeadz figure is all black, with a printed dress. Enid, on the other hand, is pink, girly and in stripes — it looks like her body has a slightly different construction to usual to allow for the stripes.
The BrickHeadz are the only Lego Wednesday sets currently not available to pre-order, but they’ll be available exclusively at Lego stores (and online at Lego.com) from 1st October.
Will you be buying Lego Wednesday sets when they come out?
