These are the 9 Lego Ideas sets expected in 2025 and beyond
From Gizmo to gemstones, here are the upcoming Lego Ideas sets we have to look forward to.
Did you know: there are currently nine Lego Ideas sets approved for creation that are still to land on store shelves? Seven of these are from the traditional Lego Ideas submission path, and two are competition winners. It’s certainly a mixed bag, with some original ideas and some based on existing IPs (Twilight! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!).
None of these Lego Ideas sets have dates yet, but we’d expect to see most of these roll out over the course of 2025, with some going into 2026. Of course, plenty more Lego Ideas sets are still to come, with a review due in the new year.
Without further ado, then, here are the Lego Ideas sets we know are on their way in 2025 and beyond. We’ve placed estimated dates for each set, but bear in mind these are just our best, educated guesses, so take them with a grain of salt.
Twilight: Cullen House
- Approved in December 2023
- Expected Q1 2025
Since the Twilight Cullen House set has been approved for a year already, we’d expect this to be one of the first Ideas sets to arrive in 2025. We’re not sure how we feel about this set. The house itself looks like a great feat of architecture, but Twilight feels a little… 2009. We’re surprised it’s still relevant enough to get voted by Ideas users, let alone approved by Lego.
Minifigure Prize Machine
- Approved in May 2024
- Expected Q2 2025
Definitely one of our favourites, this working Lego gumball machine has been designed to dispense minifigures, but really you could use it for just about anything. If it fits in one of those eggs, you can dispense anything. We’re very intrigued to see what selection of minifigures Lego includes with this one when it officially releases.
Western River Steamboat
- Approved in May 2024
- Expected in Q3 2025
If you’re a boat fan, you’ll likely get a kick out of this old-fashioned model of a steamboat. We can imagine being on the Louisiana waterways with a set like this. In CTDpower’s original design, the levels of the boat lift away, revealing a full interior inside.
The Italian Riviera
- Approved in August 2024
- Expected in Q4 2025
The Italian Riviera might just be one of our favourite Lego Ideas submissions. Just look how beautifully colourful it is! We’re big fans of buildings, and this reminds us of an Italian version of the Fishing Hut from some years back. The colours are fantastic, and it looks like there’s a lot of potential storytelling here.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – Here We Go Again!

- Expected Q4 2025
We aren’t quite sure what to think of this Charlie and the Chocolate Factory set, but there’s no denying it’s seriously colourful and creative. 2PPL’s original concept comes with minifigures of Willy Wonka, Charlie, a couple of Oompa Loompas and some of the other cast based on the original Roald Dahl novel. The chocolate waterfall featured here even moves (and has space to be motorised) — we wonder if Lego will honour this part of the design?
Disney Pixar Luxo Jr
- Approved in November 2024
- Expected to arrive in early 2026
Luxo Jr — best known as the Pixar Lamp — reached 10,000 views back in August 2023, but it wasn’t until November 2024 that it was officially approved by the Lego committee. Designed by T0BY1KENOBI25150, the model comes with a flexible lamp and the iconic Pixar ball.
Minerals Display
- Approved in November 2024
- Expected in late 2025/early 2026
Here’s one for the geologists amongst us. ddf72’s original idea features six different minerals, all using translucent bricks of a different colour to resemble different precious stones. This original concept also comes with a display shelf but we’re not sure we can see Lego including that in the final product.
Gizmo
- Approved in August 2024
- Expected Q4 2025/Q1 2026
Gizmo, along with The Goonies set below, is a winner of Lego’s 80s-themed ‘If We Could Turn Back Time’ competition. We’re big fans of Gremlins, and this brick-built Gizmo looks absolutely fabulous. If you do build this when it comes out, though, just be very careful not to get it wet. Who knows what might happen.
The Goonies
- Approved in August 2024
- Expected early 2026
The final set is the second winner of the 80s Lego Ideas contest: a model based on the 1980s movie The Goonies. Creator Delusion Brick has shoe-horned in as many movie references as possible, and any Goonies fan will undoubtedly recognise key moments from the film that have been recreated here.
