A LEGO Technic Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse #51” is Coming on 1st January

LEGO Technic Ferrari 488 GTE

Its name is a bit of a mouthful, but this LEGO Technic Ferrari is quite eye-catching.

Alongside the LEGO Technic McLaren Senna GTR that was announced last week, another LEGO Technic car is set to release on 1st January. This one is much bigger: made up of 1,677 pieces and measuring 19 inches long, it’s a hefty size. It’s got a hefty price tag to match, too. The LEGO Technic Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse #51” will cost £169.99 when it becomes available.

It’s a rather striking model, though. A similar size to the Technic Porsche 911 RSR, it’ll make a fantastic display piece. There are plenty of nifty elements included too, to replicate the real-world car. It features front and rear suspension, aerodynamic curves, a V8 engine with moving pistons, and working steering. The steering wheel even has Ferrari’s iconic ‘Prancing Horse’ badge, which also features on the front and back of the car.

There are a host of stickers included in the set in order to replicate the real car’s livery. You’ll find the original race number, sponsor stickers and an authentic paint job. Together, they all help to add some realism to the set.

It’s also the first LEGO Technic model to be made in partnership with Ferrari, which is an exciting milestone for both brands. The LEGO Technic Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse #51” will be available from LEGO and other retailers on 1st January.
