After The Nightmare Before Christmas, Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice is in the running to become a Lego set

Beetlejuice could be the next Tim Burton Lego set.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is now a Lego set, thanks to one creative builder, but another Tim Burton movie could be getting the Lego treatment. A Lego Beetlejuice set has been submitted to Lego Ideas, and it’s not all that far away from hitting that magic 10,000, at which point it’ll be reviewed by Lego.

The set, dubbed Beetlejuice: Ghost House, is the work of builder Jean_Jacket, and features the Maitland house, alongside ten minifigures of the main cast. But as impressive as it looks from the outside, with a sandworm smashing through the roof, it’s even cooler on the inside.

The three-level house is split up into several rooms, including Beetlejuice’s domain, and the dining room where the famous banana boat/shrimp scene took place. Jean_Jacket hasn’t said how many pieces the set includes, but we’re guessing this set would come in at the £200-or-so price range.

It’s around 3,000 supporters away from getting reviewed but we think it’s going to hit that target. Why? Partly because it’s an amazing, amazing build which nails the look of the film and its wacky world, but also because this has hit 7,000+ votes in less than a month.

It went up at the end of September and it’s already hit three milestones and been chosen as a Lego Staff Pick. There have been other Beetlejuice sets, and there’s another one in the running but, full credit to those builders, this build is by far the best.

Right now, it has two years hit to hit 10,000 supporters and if you want to see this become a real set, head over to Lego Ideas and give it your vote. Now, about Lego Sweeney Todd..
