The Lego Harry Potter Collection video game is being enhanced for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
You’re getting remastered, Harry!
Remember Lego Harry Potter Collection? This video game retold the story of all eight Harry Potter movies and it released back in 2016 on PS4 and Xbox One. But actually, it goes back even further than that, as it originally started life as two games, both released on Xbox 360 and PS3. Now it’s being remade again, with new, shiny visuals and improved gameplay especially for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
There’s a very good chance you’ve already played it, then. But if you’re anything like us, you’ll be looking forward to an excuse to replay Lego Harry Potter Collection all over again. This game casts you as a minifigure version of Harry and you’ll relive the action of all seven years at Hogwarts. That means exploring the castle, playing Quidditch, attending lessons and a whole lot more. You’ll also be facing off against spooky Death Eaters and battling against the evil Voldemort.
The existing Lego Harry Potter Collection is already playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, thanks to backwards compatibility. But the new version will have native 4K resolution, 60 frames-per-second gameplay and high-resolution shadows. It will also support haptic feedback in the controller, so playing it will feel better than ever.
This new collection will also include two previously-released DLC content packs as standard. And it’s coming in a little cheaper, with an RRP of $39.99 (likely £34.99 in the UK).
