A set based on Lego Horizon Adventures is coming in March 2025

Originally leaked last week via Reddit, Lego has now confirmed that a Lego Horizon Adventures: Aloy & Varl vs Shell-Walker & Sawtooth set is coming in 2025. We’ve updated the article below to reflect the official information.
Today, Lego has confirmed that we’re getting a set based on the Lego Horizon Adventures video game, coming to stores on 1st March 2025.
If you’re unfamiliar with Lego Horizon Adventures, it’s a brand new video game, released last week, from Sony studio Guerrilla Interactive. It’s essentially a Lego-based retelling of the story of Horizon Zero Dawn, a first-party PlayStation game. Whereas the original game was aimed at adults, Lego Horizon Adventures is very much family focused. It’s a lot of fun: you can read a review of it on our sister site, GameSpew.
We have, of course, already had a Lego set based on Horizon: the Horizon Forbidden West Tallneck that released back in 2022. As such, we expected to see more sets based on the franchise sooner than now, but obviously Lego had other ideas. But, we’ll gladly take a series based on Lego Horizon Adventures, even if it is made up of playsets rather than display sets.
The set announced by Lego is a 768-piece set called “Aloy & Varl vs Shell-Walker & Sawtooth”. It features two minifigures (Aloy and Varl, of course) and, uh, a Shell-Walker enemy and a Sawtooth. The minifigures are packed out with various accessories to fight them off, and a few small ground decorations are included to add some scenery: a fire and a treasure chest.
The Lego Horizon Adventures set will be launching in March 2025. Aloy & Varl vs Shell-Walker & Sawtooth will be at £39.99/$44.99, which we think is very reasonable for a 768-piece set.
So far, this is the only set released by Lego, and strangely, it appears in the “other” section of the website, rather than under its own category. But with the box having a full ‘Lego Horizon Adventures’ branding, we can’t imagine this will be the only set we’ll get. Suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.
