Lego Ideas The Evolution of STEM, out in March, is just beautiful
If you’re a science lover, you need this on your radar.

Lego’s latest announcement has caught our attention right away simply because it’s so stunning. Lego Ideas 21355 The Evolution of STEM is a celebration of science, technology, engineering and math and so, if you’re a bit of a science nerd yourself, this is going to be pretty much a must-have.
Being called The Evolution of STEM, this set celebrates all facets of science and technology by featuring many key inventions and scientific discoveries. You’ll find a tiny model of the NASA Voyager Probe, for example, along with it also features tiny models of an ealy car, a home computer, Newton’s apple tree and a robotic arm, among other things. It comes with three minifigures: Marie Curie, Sir Isaac Newton and George Washington Carver.
As a Lego Ideas set, The Evolution of STEM started out life as a fan design. It’s the result of a building contest held by LEGO, and the winning design, created by Daniel Bradley, has been turned into a retail set. There are some major changes between Daniel’s original idea and the finished set, but the general theme remains the same.
We love the concept: the set is built upon a base shaped like an open book, with the STEM elements popping out from its pages. Transparent sticks have been used to make it look like certain elements, including the Voyager Probe and a bee, are floating above.
Lego Ideas 21355 The Evolution of STEM is an 18+ set and it will cost £69.99 when it launches on March 1. It’s made up of 882 pieces, and it’s 10.5 inches tall. Will you be adding this to your collection? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
