Lego reveals the awesome Minifigure Vending Machine and it’s nearly here

A year after Lego gave it the nod, this Lego Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine is nearly here!

Lego Minifigure Vending Machine 21358

Of all the Lego Ideas sets we expected to drop during 2025, this Lego Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine may be our favourite. Not only does it look awesome, it dispenses actual Lego minifigures, and it’s less than two weeks away from release!

Created by Lego Ideas builder Goosestore, this Lego Ideas project was officially approved in May 2024 and now, just over a year later, you can pick it up for the not entirely unreasonable sum of £149.99. It’s a cut-down version of those gacha prize machines you see outside and inside stores. Pop in a Lego coin, turn the handle, and it’ll spit out a Lego minifigure in a ball capsule.

You don’t have to provide your own minifigures, either. This set comes with 16 minifigures which, in theory, would cost £60. Why in theory? Because with Lego’s blind box figures you have no idea what you’re getting unless you make use of a barcode scanning app. So if you want a full set you’ve either got to spend a lot more or furtively scan the boxes in the aisles of your local store, hoping you don’t get thrown out.

With this Lego Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine 21358 set, however, you get a full set of 16, which features an astronaut, waiter, theme park worker, warrior and more. We also imagine there’s nothing to stop you from putting other prizes in the capsules too, as long as they fit.

We love everything about this set, right down to its awesome retro look. Here’s how this Lego Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine set measures up.

  • Ages: 18+
  • Pieces: 1343
  • Minifigures: 16
  • Dimensions: H: 12″ (28cm), W: 7″ (17cm), D: 9″ (21cm)
  • Price: £149.99/£179.99

It’s rated for builders aged 18+, likely due to its mechanical workings. We’re not convinced it’d stand up to repeated rough handling, but the fact it actually works is very cool. It’d go perfectly with this Lego Claw Machine, in fact. However, while that Lego Ideas submission also hit 10,000, it wasn’t approved.

The Lego Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine 21358 will be available to all from June 4th, priced at £149.99. However, Lego Insiders can purchase it from June 1st over at Lego’s site.
