This brilliant stop-motion Lego KitKat Factory animation is making us hungry
Have a break, have a KitKat, courtesy of this fantastic Lego Kitkat Factory stop-motion animation.

Want to animate something in Lego? There’s no shortage of software out there to do just that, which makes this brilliant Lego KitKat Factory animation all the more impressive. It’s the work of artist Tomosteen and is created entirely in stop-motion.
You read that right. Rather than going the CGI route, Tomosteen has created a five-minute-long stop-motion animation depicting day to day life at a KitKat factory, entirely in Lego. Operated by tiny ducks (don’t ask), the factory churns out crunchy KitKats.
So, as the animation plays, you watch the factory’s various machines churn milk, melt chocolate, chop KitKats and so on. It’s not just a case of watching slabs slide across the conveyors, either. You’ll see the KitKat get ‘dunked’ in chocolate, a neat effect lending the impression you’re actually looking at a pool of Lego chocolate, not a flat layer.
The video, which you can watch above, really is a work of art. We can’t imagine the days of work that must have gone into bringing this whole sequence to life. It’s just one of many videos Tomosteen has put out, many of which make use of Lego. This Lego KitKat Factory video has made us seriously hungry, but it’s not the only Lego food video on their channel. There’s also this amazing video where he ‘cooks’ a Lego cutlet.
