A year after teaming up, Lego unveils its Nike Dunk x LEGO set

If you’re a Nike fan, this Lego Nike Dunk X LEGO set could be a real shoe-in.

As collaborations go, Nike and Lego isn’t the strangest we could imagine. When we first heard of this creative partnership last year, we imagined Lego-themed sportswear, a host of Nike mini-sets and more. And now, the first set is here, the Nike Dunk x LEGO 43008 Set, and it’s kind of cool.

We’re not entirely on board with the big DUNK logo, not least because we were hoping for a Lego Nike Air Max trainer, but we can see this taking pride of place on some sports fans’ shelves. Rated for builders aged 10+, we can picture young Lego fans building this with their adults, and the minifigure also adds a little play potential.

On top of that, the mini basketball spins and the minifig can be concealed within the shoe. There doesn’t appear to be a tiny steering wheel in there, but it’s still a cool touch. We’re slightly concerned about the pallor of the figure, who Lego states is “super fan B’Ball Head”. We hope that’s a mask, and not that he went through some kind of illegal head-inflating surgery to attain that look.

The shoe also boasts different coloured ‘laces’, and several other cool touches. Here are the specs if you’re a Nike fan and are considering picking up this set.
