These Transformers BrickHeadz sets are unbelievably cute

Large Lego sets of both Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are already available if you’re a Transformers fan with plenty of cash to spare and some time to build. As impressive as they both are, however, we’ve been won over by this pair of BrickHeadz sets that have just been revealed via the Lego store. Launching 1st March, they’re unbelievably cute, and great for Transformers fans light on budget and space.

Lego 40803 Optimus Prime Robot & Vehicle and Lego 40804 Bumblebee Robot & Vehicle are both BrickHeadz sets that include models of each Transformer in both their robot and vehicle forms. That may be disappointing for some – these are Transformers, after all – but we like that we’ll be able to display both robot and vehicle at once.

In any case, to look at these small brick-built versions of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee is to fall in love with them, we think. Lots of work has been put in by the designers here to create recognisable versions of these iconic Transformers, shrinking them down to size while making sure they’re still instantly recognisable. And then there are the vehicles – we particularly love Bumblebee in his Beetle form.

As already mentioned, both of these sets launch on 1st March, and being BrickHeadz they have a very reasonable price point of £17.99 each. Considering Optimus Prime Robot & Vehicle consists of 237 pieces and Bumblebee Robot & Vehicle consists of 253 pieces, that’s not bad at all. As for age ranges, they’re both rated 10+.
