You can hang a Lego Wreath on your door this festive season

Oh, I’ve never seen a more perfect wreath!

Lego Icons 10340 Wreath

Is there anything more Christmassy than a wreath hung up on your door or wall? Other than an actual Christmas tree, we don’t think so. And now, you don’t even have to worry about having it go all sad and brown after the big day is over and done with: Lego has just revealed a Wreath, coming to stores on 1st October.

It’s not the first time we’ve had a wreath from Lego: a 2-in-1 Christmas Wreath, designed either to be a candlelit centrepiece or hung on the wall, was retired just last year. But unlike that one, which very much looked like Lego, this one looks much more realistic.

The Lego Icons 10340 Wreath is part of the Botanical Collection, a series of Lego sets that have purposefully been designed to look as much like their real-life counterparts as possible. The leaves on this wreath look as delicate and fine as real leaves and, laden with berries, dried orange slices, cinnamon sticks and pine cones, it looks every bit as good as a wreath you’d buy from your local garden centre.

Only one thing gives us pause, however: the price. The Lego Wreath is £89.99/$99.99 which feels very expensive for what it is. It’s at least not small: it’s 14.5 inches wide, and it’s made up of 1,194 pieces. And it does look fantastic. Pre-orders are open now, with it hitting shelves on 1st October.

The Wreath is the latest festive set from Lego that’s coming later this year. It joins the Poinsettia, also part of the Botanical Collection and also available from 1st October, and the Table Decoration and Ornament Selection, coming on 1st September.

Does the price put you off, or will you be buying a Lego Wreath to hang up this Christmas? Let us know in the comments below.
