The countdown to Christmas has, regrettably, already begun.
We’d rather not think about it, but Christmas is fast approaching. When it comes to advent calendars, you could have a normal one, with a nice chocolate treat behind each window every day. This year’s Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar appears to be rather good indeed, with mini build versions of classic models in chronological order from 1999 to 2024. On top of that, five brilliant minifigs are also included, with Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker particularly standing out in their Christmas jumpers. It’s going to be a must for Star Wars fans, young and old.
Lego Disney Advent Calendar 2024

One for younger Disney fans, the Lego Disney Advent Calendar 2024 contains lots of small builds including Ariel’s undersea palace and Moana’s mini boat, but the real draw here are the 8 micro figures that are included. These mini versions of Elsa, Tiana, Ariel, Mirabel, Moana, Pua, Sven and a Snowgie are very cute, and they can be used to entertain up to five players when used with the box of the advent calendar that doubles up as a game board.

Of all of the Lego 2024 advent calendars, the Spider-Man one seems the most disappointing. While you get minifigs of Spider-Man, Venom, Miles Morales and Green Goblin, there’s little else that’s particularly noteworthy aside from a nifty mini-drumkit and Spider-Ham. If you’re a massive Marvel or Spider-Man fan you’ll likely still want it, but it seems lacking compared to other calendars.
Lego Friends Advent Calendar 2024

With plenty of colourful mini builds including some that are interactive, this year’s Lego Friends advent calendar offers decent value for money, as usual. £10 cheaper than the licenced calendars, it also includes five attractive characters to play with, and two cute animal toys – a bunny rabbit and a cat wearing a top hat. What more could you ask for?
Lego City Advent Calendar 2024

Of all of 2024’s Lego advent calendars, the City one contains the least pieces. It’s perhaps understandable, however, as it contains no less than six minifigures including Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Add in an adorable dog as well as a variety of mini builds, and more, and you have an advent calendar that any Lego fan will find some value in.
