Every New LEGO Set Launching in May 2023
Time to prepare your wallet.
With a wealth of new Star Wars sets alongside Jurassic Park, a new Ideas set and more, May is a busy month for new LEGO releases.
Star Wars sets certainly lead the way in May – after all, it’s Star Wars Day on May 4th, and so LEGO has no less than seven new sets entering the range. They’re not alone though, with plenty more across other ranges to look forward to. Here, we’ve rounded up every new LEGO set that’s launching this May 2023.

LEGO 75356 Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer
- RRP £59.99
- 630 pieces
- Age 18+
Finally, a Super Star Destroyer that doesn’t cost the Earth! At just 630 pieces, this is a perfect desk-sized model of the imposing ship. It looks suitably executive to us, too, so won’t look out of place in your office.
LEGO Star Wars 75355 Ultimate Collector’s Series X-Wing Starfighter
- RRP £209.99
- 1,949 pieces
- Two minifigures: Luke Skywalker and R2-D2
- Age 18+
Here’s the next Ultimate Collector’s Series (UCS) set: Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing. This one releases on 4th May, but if you’re a LEGO VIP member, you’ll be able to pick it up from the 1st.
LEGO Star Wars 75346 Pirate Snub Fighter
- RRP £29.99
- 285 pieces
- Two minifigures: Snub Fighter Pilot and Vane
- Age 8+
The smallest set from May’s new LEGO Star Wars releases, this is based on a ship from the latest series of The Mandalorian. It’s the first time we’re getting a Lego Snub Fighter, then – which feels rather exciting. Brand new ships are something of a rarity these days.
LEGO Star Wars 75352 Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama
- RRP £89.99
- 807 pieces
- Three minifigures: Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and Emperor Palpatine
- Age 18+
The Emperor’s Throne Room is one of two new diorama sets to come to LEGO stores this May. This one depicts the epic lightsaber duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. We love the look of this one, and can’t wait to get our hands on it.
LEGO Star Wars 75353 Endor Speed Chase Diorama
- RRP £69.99
- 608 pieces
- Two minifigures: Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and a Scout Trooper
- Age 18+
Here’s the second new LEGO diorama set arriving in May. It’s another scene from Return of the Jedi, but this time it’s depicting Luke and Leia’s pursuit of a Scout Trooper.
LEGO Star Wars 75348 Mandalorian Fang Fighter vs. TIE Interceptor
- RRP £89.99
- 957 pieces
- Four minifigures: The Mandalorian, Mandalorian Fleet Commander, TIE Pilot and R2-E6
- Age 9+
Here’s another first-time LEGO Star Wars ship: the Mandalorian Fang Fighter, as featured in season three of The Mandalorian. It’s coupled with a TIE Interceptor, however – something we’ve seen plenty of times before in the world of LEGO Star Wars. It’s a little pricey, but the ships do look surprisingly sizeable.
LEGO BrickHeadz 40623 Star Wars Battle of Endor Heroes
- RRP £39.99
- 549 pieces
- Age 10+
If you’re a BrickHeadz fan, this is a set you’re not going to want to miss. It’s a five-in-one, featuring five Star Wars characters: Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Lando Calrissian, Wicket and Princess Leia.
LEGO Ideas 21340 Tales of the Space Age
- RRP £44.99
- 688 pieces
- Age 18+
The next Ideas set is coming on 8th May. This beautiful and creative set features four separate 3D images of space, which can be displayed together or separately. Whether you love space or not, there’s no denying how wonderful they look.
LEGO Technic 42156 24h Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar
- RRP £169.99
- 1,775 pieces
- Age 18+
Here’s one for Technic fans: the Peugeot Hybrid Hypercar is one cool-looking vehicle. It’s a little pricey, sure, but it’s sizeable: it’s 50cm long, making this a 1:10 replica of the real thing.
LEGO Disney 43225 The Little Mermaid Royal Clamshell
- RRP £139.99
- 1,808 pieces
- Five minifigures: Ariel, Karina, Indira, King Triton and Ursula
- Age 18+
An adult set based on The Little Mermaid may sound a bit strange, but we’re absolutely loving The Royal Clamshell. It’s beautiful! It’s releasing to coincide with Disney’s cinematic release of the live-action version of The Little Mermaid, and so the minifigures here are based on those characters, rather than the traditional Disney Classic characters. We’re really looking forward to getting our hands on this. Read more about this set here.
