Spend over £135 on Lego to get double Insiders points and this Jane Austen mini-set

Do you go weak at the mention of Mr Darcy? Lego’s latest GWP is this Jane Austen set and it’s also offering double Lego Insiders points.

Lego Tribute to Jane Austen's Book 40766

It is a truth universally acknowledged that anyone in possession of Lego must be in want of more Lego. Okay, that’s not quite how Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice begins. But if you spend big at Lego’s site, you can bag double VIP points and a cool little Lego Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books 40766 set.

Famed for her six period novels, including Pride and Prejudice, Emma and Mansfield park, she’s one of the most celebrated, and most adapted, authors ever. This year is the 250th anniversary of her birth and while this set doesn’t specifically mention that, it’s a good reason as any to snap it up.

Made up of 361 pieces, it’s rated for 18+ builders and includes a minifigure of Jane herself in her study. The books on her shelves aren’t labelled, so you won’t see Pride and Prejudice no matter how hard you squint. But, on the wall, there are pictures of scenes from her books, which should please Austinheads.

This Lego Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books 40766 set is free to anyone who spends £135 on Lego. That’s in one transaction, pre-orders excluded.

That’s not the only reason to head over to Lego and get spending, however. Right now, Lego is offering double Insiders Points on all purchases. It’s free to become a Lego Insider and you can spend the points you earn on exclusive sets or use them for sizeable discounts off bigger sets. Even you have zero interest in Jane Austen, you can sell the set on eBay, effectively as a discount.

You’ll have to hurry, though. The double VIP points offer only runs until Monday June 23rd. The Lego Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books 40766 set is available till June 27th or until stocks run out. Based on past experience, it’ll be gone sooner rather than later, so head over to Lego’s site. And if you’re wondering what to buy, take a look at the best of last year’s sets.
