54 Lego Ideas sets have made it to the next review
We’ve got our fingers crossed for Jumanji.
Lego has revealed the list of sets that have made it to the third 2024 Lego Ideas review — and there’s a whopping 54 of them. Each of these sets have reached 10,000 votes on the Lego Ideas platform, and will now be judged by a panel of Lego employees for their suitability to be made into a retail set.
While it’s fantastic news for every creator that has made it this far, the bad news is that only one or two sets from this selection will make it through the review. Lego is typically ruthless when choosing Lego Ideas sets, and we normally see a maximum of two sets come from each review period.

It’s a shame, because there are lots of fantastic sets in this current review. You can see all of them over on the Lego Ideas blog, but I’ve rounded up some of my favourites below.
Lake House
Designed by Terauma, the Lake House is absolutely beautiful. The brickwork here is absolutely stunning, and this is the sort of license-free set that I can imagine making an excellent choice for Lego Ideas. I’d certainly be rushing to add this one to our collection, that’s for sure.
The Moon: Lunar Landscape
I’ve written about this set before over at Space.com, and I’m absolutely thrilled it’s made it to the review. It’s the work of SharkyBricks, and shows a realistic depiction of the moon. It’s designed to look like a poster, and it’s made to hang on the wall. I absolutely love Lego sets that can be wall-mounted.
Magic Bookends
The work of Brick Dangerous, the Magic Bookends set looks every bit as magic as its name suggests. It’s a great one for book lovers, and I can imagine it nestled into many a bookshelf. But it’s also a fantastic set for fantasy fans, with the books here — like ‘The Lord of the Dots’ — riffing on famous fantasy novels. It’s a wonderful idea, and I’d love to see this one brought to life.
Motorized Howl’s Moving Castle
Designed by EricLego321, this depiction of Studio Ghibli’s Howl’s Moving Castle is the first licensed submission to catch our eye. We absolutely love Howl’s Moving Castle, and I think Lego based on Studio Ghibli franchises is a great fit. It’s a wonder is hasn’t already happened, to be honest, and I hope there’s a chance it could come to fruition.
Italian Villa
One thing is for sure: I’m absolutely obsessed with great Lego architecture. The Italian Villa by BrickHammer is a fantastic example. Using clever brickwork, verticality and well-placed shrubbery, it captures the Italian countryside perfectly. Just look at the roof! And the window shutters! Everything is bellissimo.
Jumanji
It was only a few weeks ago that Chris wrote about this fantastic Jumanji set. Then, it was still a few hundred votes away from its 10,000 votes goal — but over Christmas it’s absolutely smashed it, and now there’s a real chance it’s brought to life on store shelves. I really hope so: this design from Bricktacular Builds2 is absolutely stunning, and looks just like the board game from the original movie.
When will we find out what sets have been approved?
Unfortunately we’ll have to wait a while: it likely won’t be until the second half of 2025 that the sets from this review are chosen and announced. We’re still waiting for the results of the second 2024 review, which was announced back in September.
