A new Lego Star Wars UCS Death Star is rumoured for next year – costing $1,000

Lego Star Wars 75419 UCS Death Star is expected to arrive in October 2025, according to reddit.

Lego Star Wars UCS Death Star 2025 rumour

It makes sense that a new Lego Star Wars Death Star would be on the way. Forgetting about the small gift with purchase Death Star II we had in 2023, there hasn’t been an actual Death Star model since 2016, and that retired in 2020 (it features on our list of the biggest Lego Star Wars sets ever released). Lego doesn’t normally wait long before it brings out a new version of a model, and so we can certainly believe the rumours that a new Death Star is in production.

The rumour surfaced on the Lego Leak subreddit, having been originally posted on Instagram by user fateful_04. They have a good track record of Lego leaks, and so we have no real reason to doubt this. It is a long way off, though — the leak suggests we’ll see a Lego Star Wars 75419 UCS Death Star in October 2025. It’s unlikely Lego will make an official announcement any time soon, then, as its announcements are usually a few months before release at most.

This could be the most expensive Lego set ever released

The most shocking part of this rumour, though? The alleged price of the Death Star. Fateful_04 reckons it will cost $999.99 — which likely equates to £850-£900. That will make it the most expensive Lego set ever released (with the current most expensive Lego sets being the UCS Millennium Falcon and AT-AT, costing £734.99 each). That’s a substantial jump up and a whole new price bracket that we’re not sure people are going to be so willing to pay.

As for what type of Death Star it’ll be? The rumour has been shared alongside an image of the Death Star II, a destroyed version of the Death Star that retired in 2007. It’s been an awfully long time since we’ve had that version, so it’s possible to be an updated, larger version of this. But it will have also been five years since any version of the Death Star, so we can just as easily imagine a functional Death Star, complete with interiors and minifigures.

Lego Star Wars UCS Death Star: How big?!

It’s going to be big though. The current most expensive Lego Star Wars UCS set, the Millennium Falcon, is made up of 7,541 pieces. If a Death Star is going to cost over £100 more, it’s likely to have an even higher piece count. Either that, or it’ll contain a lot of minifigures. The last Death Star had 27.

Of course, this is just a rumour for now, so there’s no guarantee that we’ll see Lego Star Wars 75419 Death Star in 2025. We think it’s likely, but we’ll have to wait and see just what sort of Death Star it’ll be.
