The best Lego Botanicals sets available right now

Plants made out of Lego are the best type of plants.

Lego Botanicals

Only a few years ago, we’d have probably laughed at you if you had said some of our favourite Lego sets would be flowers. Flowers, made out of Lego? What a bizarre concept! And yet, somehow it works. Lego’s Botanicals range has been around since 2021, and since then it’s only gone from strength to strength. The sets are realistic, colourful, make great display pieces and, perhaps most interestingly, has made Lego more attractive to different audiences.

We’ve bought Lego Botanicals sets for our mums, for example, and for other people who’d usually otherwise have no interest in putting together a Lego set. It’s been a wildly popular series for Lego, and we’re here to celebrate it by looking at the best Lego Botanicals sets currently available. Whether it’s their value for money, or just how downright wonderful they look, these are the sets we love more than any others.

What are your favourite Lego Botanicals sets? Which of these do you own, or are you thinking about picking up? Drop us a comment below to join the conversation.

1. Bonsai Tree (10281)

  • Release date: January 2021
  • Number of pieces: 878
  • Price: £44.99
  • Buy on Lego.com

The first Lego Botanicals set released, we are thrilled that the Bonsai Tree is still available. This gorgeous tree is perfectly formed and features a lot of beautiful details. Not only does the set come in a pot, decorated with loose studs made to look like soil, but it also stands on a wooden plinth, just as you might with a real bonsai tree.

It’s of course the tree itself that makes this set so stunning, though. It’s beautifully designed, with a realistic-looking trunk and a clever array of leaves that, from a distance, you would be forgiven for thinking it’s real. Even better, there’s a choice of leaves available: you can opt for the standard green or, ready for spring, you can change to pink spring blossom. The blossom itself is made out of tiny pink frogs, which sounds bizarre, but honestly, it’s possibly one of the reasons why this set is so beloved.

2. Flower Bouquet (10280)

  • Release date: January 2021
  • Number of pieces: 756
  • Price: £54.99
  • Buy on Lego.com

Here’s another Lego Botanicals set that’s been around since 2021. The Flower Bouquet is a beautiful example of just how clever Lego designers can be, using bricks to create a wide range of different types of flowers. There are roses, daisies, asters and more, all carefully created to look as realistic as possible.

Like a real bouquet of flowers, this Lego Flower Bouquet needs to be placed in a case in order to be displayed – you don’t get one included in the set. That can be a problem for some, especially when some other Botanicals sets will come with a brick-built vase or pot. But personally, we like it; being able to give your set a bit of customisation or personality by choosing your own vase is a neat touch.

3. Tiny Plants (10329)

  • Release date: December 2023
  • Number of pieces: 758
  • Price: £44.99
  • Buy on Lego.com

If you’re a fan of succulents and other tiny indoor plants, then you’ll love Lego Botanicals Tiny Plants. This set features nine individually-potted plants, all of different varieties. The best thing here is that you can build all nine plants at once – this isn’t a Creator 3-in-1 situation where you can only build one specific model.

The plants, which include a prickly pear cactus, a tiny Venus flytrap and a jade plant, look fantastic whether they’re displayed together or alone. If you’re short on space, this is a great option as you can place these tiny pots on windowsills, bookshelves, your work desk, or just about anywhere you have a few inches of free space.

4. Orchid (10311)

  • Release date: May 2022
  • Number of pieces: 608
  • Price: £44.99
  • Buy on Lego.com

One of our favourite Lego Botanicals sets of all time is the Orchid, a gorgeous, realistic and beautifully-designed set that has taken pride of place next to our TV for the last few years. This set comes with a brick-built pot, designed with a stunning geometric pattern and in a subtle blue colour that perfectly juxtaposes the green and pink of the plant itself.

We’ve had many people comment that our Orchid looks real, and it really does. The curves of the leaves, the shape of the flower petals; they have been brilliantly recreated to image a plant that will forever look beautiful and never wilt. That’s the real benefit of a Lego plant, isn’t it? These things never need water or sunlight; they always look their best. And the Orchid is one of the best examples of that.

Happy Plants (10349)

  • Release date: June 2025
  • Number of pieces: 217
  • Price: £17.99
  • Buy on Lego.com

While Lego’s Happy Plants might not be the most realistic Botanicals set out there, it is one of the most joyous. Happy Plants by name, Happy Plants by nature – it’s impossible to look at this duo of cute plants and not smile. Green leaves sprout from two plant pots, featuring faces and legs. It’s a simple but wonderful idea, and it’s one of our favourite sets in the entire Botanicals range.

It’s not just the appearance of this set that we love, either. This is also one of the most affordable Lego Botanicals sets, costing just £17.99 at RRP. Granted, it’s a small set, made up of just 217 pieces. But if you’re new to Lego and want to dip your toe in, this is a great place to start. These wonderful little plants look great on a bookshelf or desk, and will make you smile every time you see them.
