The LEGO Star Wars Video Game Has Been Delayed Again
It was supposed to release this spring, but has been delayed indefinitely.
If you’ve been looking forward to LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga coming to your PC or games console very soon, we’ve got bad news. The game has been delayed again, with no release window yet in sight.
Earlier this week, developer TT Games put out a statement on Twitter. “We’re working hard to make LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga the biggest and best-ever LEGO game,” it reads, “but we’re going to need more time to do it. We won’t be able to make our intended Spring release date, but will provide updated launch timing as soon as possible.”
It’s a bit of a blow, as the last LEGO game to make its way to consoles was The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame back in 2019. Previous to this, TT Games was releasing two or three LEGO games per year, pumping them out once every few months.
Covering the entire 9-film Star Wars franchise, it’s safe to say that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is going to be the biggest LEGO game yet. So its delay isn’t entirely a surprise – especially taking into account the current global pandemic. Lots of video games are seeing hefty delays around the world.
When it finally does release, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. Like all LEGO games, it’ll be playable in single-player but will support co-op play too.
