One of the weirdest LEGO sets we’ve ever had is currently reduced at Smyths Toys. The Adidas Trainer – aka LEGO 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar – has an RRP of £79.99. But at Smyths, it’s currently available for £66.99. It’s a good price for a recent set, and the cheapest we’ve seen so far.
This is a brick-built replica of a lifesize shoe, complete with a real shoelace running through it. One of the coolest things about this set is the fact it comes in a real shoebox! We dig creative branding and packaging, and LEGO/Adidas have absolutely nailed this.
The set is made up of 731 pieces, and is an 18+ rated set. We’re not sure how long it’ll be reduced at Smyths, so if you fancy adding it to your collection while saving £13, we suggest jumping on it soon.
Kim has loved Lego since she was a kid, but didn't get back into the plastic bricks until her late 20s. In the last several years that love has become an obsession, and Lego has taken over her house, and her life! When she's not building Lego, she's likely to be playing video games or writing about them: she's also the co-owner of GameSpew.com. You'll also find her work over on Space and LiveScience.
One of our favourite sets in the Botanicals range, the Lego Icons Orchid is available for just £30 at George at Asda. That’s a 33% saving over its £44.99 RRP. Not only is it a fantastic build, it’s also a wonderful set to display in any part of the home. Grab the deal while it lasts.
