One of the best adult sets of recent years just has to be LEGO 71374 Super Mario Nintendo Entertainment System – or the LEGO NES, as it’s more commonly known. This is a brick-built replica of Nintendo’s famous home console, along with a TV set that displays a moving image of Mario on the screen. It even comes with a cartridge and a controller. Honestly, it’s a wonder to behold. And so, this deal at Smyths – offering the set for just £159.99 – is an absolute bargain.
The LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System has an RRP of £199.99, but you can currently pick it up at Smyths Toys for £159.99. That’s a saving of £40, or 20%. It might just be the cheapest we’ve seen this set.
This is an 18+ set, containing 2,646 pieces. So if you’re thinking of building it yourself, you can expect to spend a good 8 or so hours doing so. Because the console and the TV are separate items, though, you could team up with your partner or a loved one and work on it together. One of the best ways to build LEGO, in our opinion.
