Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons has finally been unveiled — and yes, it’s magnificent

Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons

It feels like Lego has been teasing its upcoming Dungeons & Dragons set more than any other. But after lots of social media teases (and its fair share of leaks), Lego Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale has finally been released in its full glory. And, as much as our bank balance hates us for saying it, it’s going to have to be a day one purchase.

Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale is made up of 3,745 pieces, contains six minifigures and will set you back £314.99 when it launches on 4th April (or 1st April, if you’re an Insider member).

Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons

This is an Ideas set born from a competition run by Lego, asking for a Dungeons & Dragons-themed design to celebrate D&D’s 50th anniversary. The winning entry came from BoltBuilds, whose design has been tweaked to become the set revealed today.

The set itself is beautiful: it features a small inn in front of a castle, where a huge red dragon rests atop a bridge. The dragon can be removed and placed elsewhere to allow the set to become part of your D&D gameplaying.

The six minifigures include four adventurers, an innkeeper and a dragonborn. But some of the coolest features are the monsters found within the set: there’s a beholder, an owlbear and a displacer beast.

We’re pretty sure the Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale is going to be popular, so come 1st April you might want to get your order in quickly. No pre-orders are currently available, unfortunately. If you’re not already an Insiders member, sign up for free to ensure you can make use of that early access window.

Now, don’t mind us. We’re going to continue salivating over the images of this fantastic set.
