LEGO Brawls Hits Consoles This Summer

Want to create minifigs then have them battle it out? You can, in LEGO Brawls, coming to consoles this summer.

As fans of LEGO, we’ve long wondered why there isn’t a fighting game that lets you pit minifigures against each other. Turns out it’s already happened.

LEGO Brawls was originally launched on iOS back in 2019, exclusively for Apple Arcade. But like LEGO Builder’s Journey it’s now making its way to consoles, where hopefully it will attract a much larger audience.

Arriving on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch this summer, LEGO Brawls allows players to build and customise their own LEGO minifigs before throwing them into battle against others. So, if you want to make a punk rock vampire you can do that. Alternatively, you could just make someone wearing bunny ears. It’s up to you.

The weapons they wield will be determined by you, too. Everything from baguettes to pie cannons will be available, keeping things light-hearted. This is a family-friendly game, after all. Power ups will be available as well, and you’ll be able to tailor these, along with everything else, to your play style.

Levels, which are based on popular LEGO themes, will each offer up unique challenges. And a range of modes should keep players going back for more. There’s everything from free-for-all to 4v4, and even one that’s battle royale-style. Seasonal and limited edition content will also keeps thing fresh all year round.

You can watch the trailer for LEGO Brawls below. Hopefully we’ll learn more about it as we draw closer to its release.
