LEGO Ideas Jazz Quartet is Available Tomorrow for VIP Members

LEGO Ideas 21334 Jazz Quartet

The next LEGO Ideas set is only hours away, with LEGO Ideas 21334 Jazz Quartet launching tomorrow for VIP members.

Based on a set designed by Hsinwei Chi, the Jazz Quartet was chosen for production in October 2021, making this a fairly quick turnaround. We’ve loved the set since we first saw Hsinwei Chi’s concept, and we couldn’t be more excited to get our hands on the finished piece.

LEGO has made some subtle but important changes to the set, while maintaining its original charm. The piano player has been replaced by a female, so this is no longer an all-male jazz quartet. The construction of the base has been tweaked somewhat, too; it’s now lighter and has lost a bit of detail around the edging. Undoubtedly to keep the piece count (and price) low.

The finished set looks wonderful, and for any music fan, it’s going to make a fabulous display piece.

Each member of the jazz quartet is posed realistically, and despite their blocky faces, they’re remarkably human-looking. There’s a drummer, a piano player, a trumpeter and a bass player; looking at them, you can almost hear their music. Each instrument and band member is built individually, allowing you to customise the stage formation. You can choose who deserves to be front and centre.

LEGO Ideas 21334 Jazz Quartet will be exclusive to LEGO stores and LEGO.com, and it will be available from tomorrow for VIP members. If you’re not a VIP member, you’ll have to wait until Friday 1st July. It’ll cost £89.99; a steal for a 1,606 piece set, if you ask us.
