Is there a Lego Con 2023?

LEGO CON

In summer 2021 and 2022, Lego hosted a global streaming event known as Lego Con. It was a celebration of all things Lego: giving us a glimpse into Lego House, learning more about the company and, most importantly, revealing some upcoming sets to us. But is there a Lego Con 2023?

Unfortunately not. Lego Con 2023 was cancelled back in December 2022. Lego didn’t provide much of a reason for the cancellation. We can only assume that the reception to the previous Lego Cons were lukewarm at best, and the event didn’t quite pan out exactly as the company had hoped.

Back in December, the Lego community had speculated that perhaps the event might be replaced by something else this year. But considering we’re already in August and nothing has been announced, it seems unlikely. It’s a shame, but unsurprising, as Lego Con was rather underwhelming both years.

Will there be a Lego Con in 2024 and beyond? It’s a possibility, but unless the event changes considerably we can’t see Lego bringing it back.
