LEGO and Ikea Team Up to Create BYGGLEK Storage Solution, Coming in October

LEGO and Ikea have teamed up to bring an official LEGO store and play solution to Ikea stores. It’s called BYGGLEK, and it will be available from October.

BYGGLEK is a series of boxes that “interwines play and storage”. Coming fully assembled, the boxes have LEGO studs on the lid and on the front of the box so builds can be displayed on top while bricks are stored safely inside.

Four different products in the range will be available:

  • A set of three small boxes
  • Two sets of bigger boxes
  • One set of LEGO bricks (“to kick-start the playful experience”).

You can see some of the different-sized boxes, and how they can be combined together, below. Monster construction is optional.

Prices of BYGGLEK are yet to be announced, but they’ll be available to purchase in Ikea stores in Europe and North America on 1st October. A worldwide release will follow before the end of the year.
