Get ready to cash out all of your Knuts and Galleons for this Lego Harry Potter Gringotts Wizarding Bank set

Lego Harry Potter Gringotts Wizarding Bank

Lego has just unveiled its latest designed-for-adults Harry Potter set, and it’s quite the thing of beauty. It’s been many years since we’ve last had a model of Gringotts Wizarding Bank – it last made an appearance in 2011’s Diagon Alley – and in that time it’s had quite the glow-up. Lego Harry Potter 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank is set to release on 1st September, is made up of 4,803 pieces and is going to set you back £369.99. Phew. But for that, you’re getting something rather special.

You see, the brand new Gringotts Wizarding Bank doesn’t just contain the facade of the bank. It also features the subterranean features of the building, including its underground bank and minecart track. In other words, you’ve never quite seen a Lego set like this before.

Lego Harry Potter Gringotts Wizarding Bank: features

While it looks a little precarious, we’ve every reason to believe the Gringotts Wizarding Bank will be more than sturdy enough. The bank building itself contains a full interior, including a desk, decorative columns and an upstairs storage area. There’s also a tacked-on Magical Menagerie store next door. On the top of the building you’ll find a Ukrainian Ironbelly Dragon.

It’s underground where things start to get really interesting, however. A roller coaster track spirals around a central rocky column, where you’ll find a number of vault doors. It’s not a powered minecart, unfortunately. But you can push it up and down, mimicking the motions.

If you’d rather, you can display the bank without its underground section. It’s designed to the same scale as the existing Diagon Alley set, so it can be added to your street without the vaults.

Lego Harry Potter Gringotts Wizarding Bank: included minifigures

There are 13 minifigures included in the Gringotts Wizarding Bank set: Harry Potter, Hagrid, Dragomir Despard, Ron, Bellatrix Lestrange, Hermione, Griphook, Bogrod, Ricbert, a Death Eater, two goblin bankers and two guards.
