These new Lego City and Creator sets are so cool we just want them all

Lego Creator and City Sets, one of a space station, one of a giraffe.

Typical, you wait for new Lego Creator or City sets and then 18 come along at once. Okay, you can’t purchase these sets just yet but they’re so ridiculously cool that we want them all. Who needs food or rent, eh?

As reported by Brickset, there are ten new Creator sets and eight new City sets. They’re not available to order as yet but we expect the majority of them will become available on 1st January.

These sets are all excellent, but there are two in particular that have caught our eye. There’s the 3 in 1 Lego 31150 Wild Safari Animals set, featuring a giraffe and flamingo. But what’s especially cool is that you can also reassemble the set as a lion or as a gazelle and her baby.

Then, there’s the modular 60433 Modular Space Station, which we love. Sure, there was the now retired Lego Ideas International Space Station, but this is so much cooler. We like being able to swap the modules around and we’re tempted to buy two sets, just so we can build one mega-station.

On top of that, we’ve been playing a lot of No Man’s Sky recently so while we’re still waiting on an official No Man’s Sky Lego set, these could feed into our space exploration buzz.

You can check out the rest of the new Lego City and Creator sets above, though don’t count on these being available in time for Christmas. But if you do want something festive, check out the best Lego sets for Christmas.

After relegating my Lego to the loft, many years ago, I've regained my interest in these plastics bricks, partly because today's sets seem so, so much cooler than when I was a kid. Though I'm still reluctant to spend three figures on a single set.
