A new Lego Star Wars diorama is coming in May
Revealed on Australian Lego retailer Bricks Megastore (via Brickset), a new Lego Star Wars diorama is set to release in May. Called Mos Espa Podrace, it showcases Anakin Skywalker’s pod race against Sebulba, as see in The Phantom Menace.
The set will be made up of 718 pieces, and according to Bricks Megastore, it’ll cost $119.99 AU. That translates to £62, which is in line with the prices of the previous diorama sets.
Like the other Star Wars dioramas, Mos Espa Podrace is built on a black plinth, decorated with a printed ‘Lego Star Wars’ logo brick and a supporting quote (which reads “Remember, concentrate on the moment. Feel. Don’t think. Use your instincts”). Rather than a Return of the Jedi 40th anniversary brick, however, it has a Lego Star Wars 25th anniversary brick.
We’re looking forward to adding this one to our collection: it’ll go very nicely alongside the others. There’s a great amount of detail in the pod racers here, and even though the background may solely be sand-coloured blocks, it still manages to set the scene rather nicely.
