Did you know? 2022 marks The LEGO Group’s 90th anniversary. 90 years of LEGO! Phew. To celebrate, we’ll see a wave of special anniversary sets – more coming on those very soon. But one of them is a free gift: a Forest Hideout based on a classic set from 1988.
The Forest Hideout pays tribute to LEGO 6054 Forestman’s Hideout (which you can see here, courtesy of Brickset). It’s a very close replica, in fact, with the new set sporting some modern upgrades thanks to a larger range of LEGO pieces now being available.
It comes with two minifigures – with faces more expressive than their 1988 counterparts. They each have accessories including a sword and crossbow, along with a target to practice shooting with.
The set itself is made up of 258 pieces (the original had 201) and, strangely, it’s marked as being 18+. We’re not really sure why – there’s nothing stopping this being a playset for youngsters.
The bad news? You’ll need to spend at least £150/$150 in store or online to qualify for the Forest Hideout. But with so many new sets out, that shouldn’t be too hard to do.
You’ve got until Wednesday 22nd June to claim this, or while ever stocks last.
