June’s Upcoming LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Sets Include a Fabulous Viking Ship
Great news for fans of LEGO’s long-running Creator 3-in-1 range. Three new sets are on their way on 1st June, and each one is something completely different. We’ve got a Noodle Shop, a Viking Ship and an Underwater Exploration set. While they all look great, there’s one in particular we’re excited for: the Viking Ship.
We had a short-lived LEGO Vikings range many moons ago, and since then, LEGO has somewhat abandoned the idea of bringing Norse mythology to life through bricks. Until now. Last month we got Thor’s Goat Boat, and next month we’re getting a fully-fledged Viking Ship, complete with a brick-built sail and a mythical beastie to fight off against.
Let’s take a look at the three upcoming sets, shall we? The three release on 1st June in Europe, but not until 1st August in North America.
LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent

The main selling point of this Creator 3-in-1 set is undoubtedly the Viking ship. It looks fantastic, with its carved head, shields adorning the side and brick-built sail. It really does look like the real deal. The sub-builds look interesting too: there’s a Viking lodge, and a mythical Fenris wolf. We know which one we’ll be building, though. If you opt for the Viking Ship build, there’s also a serpent to go with it.
We just wish it was a little cheaper. £104.99 is a lot to ask; that price is sneaking into Creator Expert territory. More information is available on LEGO.com.
LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31130 Sunken Treasure Mission

For underwater fans, the Sunken Treasure Mission looks a lot of fun. The three different builds available all feature one sea creature: there’s a giant Octopus, a giant Lobster or a Manta Ray. Whichever one you choose, there are some accompanying builds to go alongside them too, including a little submarine-type vehicle. We’d have rather the focus been on the sea creatures, but it’ll make a fun playset for younger builders. More information is available on LEGO.com.
LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31131 Downtown Noodle Shop

These small building sets have become very popular in the 3-in-1 range in recent years. They feel almost like a precursor to LEGO’s adult-focused Modular range; a bunch of these can be used to create a street lineup, just in the same way as a Modular. They’re of course less detailed, but arguably carry just as much character. The Downtown Noodle Shop is no different. We love the noodle sign on the side of the building, the the street level detail, including the vending machine and ice-cream cart is a nice touch.
The secondary builds are a a Bike Shop or a small arcade, which features three gaming machines. This seems to offer excellent value for £39.99. More information is available on LEGO.com.
